Family is All of Us

Life is a beautiful tapestry of sweetness and weavings of love, moments that allow us to reflect on the truth within our hearts. On Wednesday, I had a conversation with my mother and someone else. She mentioned that she invited a man from her work over for Thanksgiving dinner. This person responded by saying that Thanksgiving is a time for family and that this person was not considered “family.” I listened to his explanation and then I expressed that I believe we are all family. It made me feel a lot of things, and my heart was stirring, my soul was paying attention.

In the time that we are living right now, there is a lot of shifting going on. We are growing in higher consciousness, we are realizing that what is important in life is living and we can’t do it without love, because if we choose to, then we are merely existing. I don’t know about you, but I choose love and I choose life. As the vibration changes and shifts further, we will go deeper into the heightened awareness that we are all one, that we are all connected, then the perception of “family” changes along with us. Family becomes all of us, and giving becomes like breathing, loving becomes like walking, and as we walk, we reach out to each other. The holidays bring this emotion up stronger in many of us, but what if we acted like this every day? Can you envision it? Can you see how powerful that would be?

Today, I gave a lecture at the First Church of the Divine Light in Hartford, CT and the first thing I said was “Happy Valentine’s Day,” even though technically, it wasn’t Valentine’s Day. The message that was coming out is this: we can choose love, we can choose to love every day, to express our love, share our love and be love in each moment, with those who we consider blood family and those who could be considered strangers. I love the line from the movie “The 5 People You Meet in Heaven,” where he says, “Strangers are just family you have yet to come to know.”

I experience this every day as I notice the amazing synchronicities and signs that life constantly brings onto my path. Noticing these things is like an embrace from the universe and all of the energies, seen and unseen, swirling around to support and guide us. I finally just watched the movie “Eat, Pray, Love,” and there was one among many lines that stood out. This particular one is, “To lose balance for love is part of living a balanced life.” Yes, gosh, can you imagine life without feeling love, for yourself or another, or just in general? Can you imagine life without losing yourself in the emotions of connection so deeply with another soul? Can you imagine life without feeling excitement for being alive? The thing we do need to lose more of is control, the belief that we need to control anything. See, the thing is when we are afraid of loving completely, then we aren’t truly loving for we are holding back…can you fly if you run to the edge of the mountain and back up just before you take off?

My weekend consisted of a lot of connecting and being in love with my life purpose. It was powerful beyond description. Saturday I gave angel readings all day and shared with some very special people. Today after I spoke at the church, I connected after the service with those that attended, sold and signed my books, shared journeys, gave many hugs, and smiled, laughed, etc. One of the messages, very strong messages that I shared in the speech is about union. It is now time for us to let go of separation in all ways, with those we have intimate relationships with, the world systems, our family members, our perceptions of others, and so much more. I will be sharing this in more detail soon and am writing about this in my second book.

As Marianne Williamson says, it is time for “a return to love,” and we are all here on the planet now to help join together to welcome in this energy.

I want to end with a quote from the man whom I love dearly as I wait patiently for him to choose our union so we can create together and spread our love to the world by sharing our love together. May you love deeply this week in all ways that you can.

“Through all the unexpected twists and turns, there’s love and there’s connection, whether there’s somebody in your life or somebody out there, we all come back to each other.”

  1. I just love you my dear friend! You made my day today! It’s tough knowing that I am living on the same planet as my twin and we are not in the physical together. I am deeply grateful that we are in this together and you have inspired me to stay strong and hold on, and know that anything, I mean anything is possible! I love you dearly!!!!!

    Blessings my sweet sweet friend!
